We are built for good
Bright Minds. Brighter Futures.
Not your typical scholarship program. Beedie Luminaries is a social-profit enterprise designed to help remove barriers to education and provide wrap-around support for promising students who are facing financial adversity.
Enhancing the BCIT student experience.
Inviting learners to realize their potential while symbolizing a gateway to future opportunities, the new Beedie Plaza at BCIT’s Burnaby Campus is a place for students, faculty, and visitors to connect for decades to come.
We are proud to give back.
Beedie employees actively volunteer with local non-profit organizations, including Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon, enriching the communities in which we live, work, and play.

Built For Good is our social responsibility promise. We collaborate with community partners to create opportunities, and we share our success by giving back.
Make a Difference
We strive to positively contribute to the well-being of the communities we serve. From corporate giving to volunteering, by giving back, we create opportunities for people to thrive.
Time and time again our team leaves Plenty of Plates having achieved anything one could want from a team building event. But what brings us back is the impact that this event makes to the wider community. Local residents leave with full bellies. Everyone leaves with big smiles, full hearts and added perspective through genuine connection.

Volunteering with Quest has been incredibly fulfilling for me. Volunteering in the repack facility that re-uses and repacks donated healthy and affordable food for the clients is both rewarding and great for team building. Quest provides a meaningful service to community members that are faced with food insecurities with dignity and compassion.

I believe that the foundations for teamwork, collaboration, and responsibility are built at an early age through participation in team sports, and through our fundraising partnership with Moresports, we are able to give the opportunity to learn sport and active lifestyle to youth who are unable to join through traditional channels. Our annual fundraiser gives our team the ability to give back to our community while also coming together in the spirit of competition to demonstrate the value of teamwork to future generations.

I’m deeply inspired by One Girl Can’s work and the first student Beedie Cares sponsored through the program, Millie Matheu. She’s a determined young speaker, aspiring to become a radio host and showcasing the transformative impact of education in breaking gender barriers and empowering vulnerable women in Kenya. Through One Girl Can, I personally sponsored a young woman’s college education for a year and it was incredibly fulfilling to contribute to her journey towards a brighter future, addressing gender inequality and fostering positive change within her community.
